crossing the line

What's weird is that, here, most of our zig-zag log fences are really, really old and rotten, so I'm not at all used to seeing a relatively new one. To me log fences are linked with that sort of rustic, rural moss-covered rocks and farm buildings, etc... Odd dichotomy thar.
